Jessica Izlar, DVM

Dr. Jessica E. Izlar was born and raised in Snellville, Georgia where she attended Shiloh High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Georgia Southern University. Dr. Izlar then attended the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in May 2014. Dr. Izlar’s primary focus is in small animal internal medicine and surgery, but also enjoys all of the diverse aspects of the veterinary field.


Dr. Izlar’s primary goal in veterinary medicine is to give voice to animals who need her through the knowledge and practice of high-quality medicine, stemming from a love and compassion for animals. In this, Dr. Izlar hopes to strengthen and maintain the human-animal bond.


In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Joel, her son, Cillian, and their spunky orange kitty, Duncan. She is also an avid movie watcher, enjoys reading and being in the great outdoors
(hiking, kayaking and camping).

Dr. Izlar’s goal at Good Hands Veterinary Hospital is to make lasting
relationships with clients and their beloved pets by providing the highest quality medicine to every furry friend that she sees.
